How to Track Your Sleep Duration?
Here’s how it works:
During deep sleep, your muscles relax significantly, your brain cells enter a state of full rest, and your body remains largely still. In contrast, during light sleep, you tend to move more frequently.
Most wearable sleep trackers monitor your sleep by detecting movement—especially in your wrist—throughout the night. As you transition from being awake (with frequent, light movements) into deeper stages of sleep (where you become nearly motionless), the device uses this data to estimate when you’re in light versus deep sleep. It then analyzes your personal sleep patterns to calculate how much time you spend in each stage.
